This lovely pair of antique wrought iron andiron feature beautiful details such as volutes and hooks.

The andiron is a kind of large fender that was once used for large kitchen fireplaces. It allowed to support a spit while maintaining the heat of the chimney stack. That way, the food placed in small iron containers could remain warm.
