18th Century antique bronze bell sold with its clapper
This old bronze bell is signed by the hand of the master foundry craftsman Louis-Gabriel DUBOIS (1761-1837) who signed all his creations “DUBOIS ROBERT AU PUY”. The Dubois were a very important dynasty of founders whom practiced their art in the town of Puy-en-Velay in Haute-Loire (France).

This massive old 25-cm diameter bell dates from the end of the 18th Century.
It shows beautiful decorations carved in relief : a flower and two bouquets of flowers on a shield. Despite some chips at the bottom of the waist, this bell is sold in very good condition with its clapper and its old metallic bell yoke.
