Antique stone livestock trough

This beautiful antique livestock trough has been carved out of a single block of white stone. It has two main characteristics: it is monolithic and shallow.

It was initially used as a drinking trough for Camargue horses. It was wall-mounted in the stable. We can still see an iron ring on a side that was used to tie animals.
