Long antique massive stone trough with patina

This imposing and resistant antique trough, (also called “timbre” in several regions of France) is a wonderfulmonolithic stone element (carved out of a single block of stone). It offers a wonderful weathered appearance with its irregular surface and its natural patina.

This massive trough was salvaged in an antique farm situated in the south-west part of France (in this region, they used to call this kind of antique monolithic stone trough “timbre”) and was once used as a drinking trough for the livestock. It already has a drainage hole to let water flow out.

Its weathered appearance make it very authentic. It will certainly brighten up you garden.

Turned into an original planter, its good proportions make this trough very suitable for you shrubs, fruit trees, bamboos or flowers. We can also propose to you a stone pediment to turn the whole piece into a garden fountain. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
