Garden fountain with a rustic charm of yesteryear with stone through and cast iron pump

This garden fountain with a rustic yesteryear's charm is a wall fountain crafted in our workshop in Provence using reclaimed materials : a large antique stone through as the basin and a beautiful and imposing antique cast iron water pump as the pediment !

The massive rectangular monolithic trough used as the basin of this fountain is in fact an old food pantry recovered from a farmhouse in Provence (you can still see the small holes on the circumference of the top where the wooden lid was attached to keep food dry and prevent rodents' intrusion).

As for the pediment, it is made with an antique cast iron water-pump which rests on a base made of old patinated stone. Its capital, also in old stone, is finely molded and topped by a small stone ball. The water outlet allows a large flow.
