Napoleon III Style antique red marble mantle

This antique marble mantle was made in the 19th century and is inspired by the Napoleon III style. It was carved and hand-sculpted in a beautiful red marble richly veined with white.

This beautiful mantle with modillions features a quite simple lintel resting on a pair of straight jambs. These jambs are delimited, on both sides, by small caps and foot blocks. Both modillions, sculpted and molded with finger flutes appear under the lintel. The tablet is thin and molded.
