Louis XV style antique fireplace made of Savonniere stone with shell.

This wonderful Louis XV style antique fireplace made of Savonniere stone was unassembled in the city of Nancy. It has a wonderful natural patina that makes it unique.

It is composed of curved canted jambs. The hearth line is cut into curves and cons-curves. The shelf that tops the whole piece fits the crossbow shaped lintel. The engravings of this fireplace are characteristic features of the Louis XV style. In fact, the lintel is centered by a shell flanked by bunches of flowers and asymmetric foliage. The angles of the lintel are animated with gadroonings and foliage scrolls.

This antique fireplace holds a Certificate issued by the French Ministry of Culture.
