Rare roman-style antique fireplace in carved white stone

This original Romanesque style antique fireplace was finely carved and hand-sculpted in a beautiful white limestone.

It features all the characteristics of the Romanesque architecture : low arched Doric columns with hunting theme, characters and geometric fresco in bas-relief. This Romanesque style was particularly famous in the French region of Auvergne in the 1130s.
