Beautiful antique brown marble mantle

This beautiful antique finely carved mantle is made of brown marble veined with orange.

This 19th century - Napoleon III style mantle has molded jambs featuring beautiful scrolls and various floral and foliage motifs. They define the thickness of the curves. The low arched lintel offers beautiful details. The shelf is thin, molded and offers a beautiful movement. The lintel follows the same movement. A protruding bolection molding surrounds the entire hearth opening and highlights it.
