Louis XIII style antique stone fireplace with trumeau

Louis XIII style fireplace made of white limestone quarried from Provence’s Beaucaire region. This antique fireplace with trumeau has an Arlésienne-style design (simple appearance that characterizes the fireplaces of the city of Arles). It was unassembled in a nursing home.

This very uncommon fireplace has robust plain console pilasters resting on footblocks. The lintel and the shelf are wonderful and were carved out of a single block of stone. The lintel was beautifully carved with its moldings and its elegant curved shape. The shelf is slightly curved and has a beautiful width that creates space for any decorative objects. The stonework trumeau is quite small compared to the lower part of the fireplace. The cornice has also beautiful moldings.

This stylish fireplace will add a strikingly look to your home.
