Antique patinated hard stone veneering fireplace with base

This small veneering antique fireplace is inspired by the Louis XIV style. Its monolithic crossbow lintel is decorated with beautifully hand-carved decors including a central leaf and 2 tori. The lintel is surmounted by a fine molded shelf. The narrow jambs are straight and molded. These opulent “boudin” moldings extend onto the lower arched part of the lintel, thus surrounding the fireplace.

This fireplace in weathered by time stone rests on a thick overhanging base.
