Antique Burgundy stone Louis XIV-style fireplace

This charming antique fireplace was crafted from Burgundy limestone with warm ochre tones. The stone now bears a beautiful natural patina, a testament to its history and authenticity.

Of the Louis XIV style, it features hand-sculpted fluted detailing and a generous boudin molding that elegantly frames the large hearth opening. The slightly curved jambs rest on thick bases. The lintel, which also serves as a shelf, is adorned with a nice hand-carved star in relief at the center along with two recessed panels that echo the decorative motifs of the consoles.
