Antique Louis XIV style stone fireplace with trumeau

This Louis XIV-style antique fireplace with trumeau was crafted from soft limestone and displays a beautiful natural patina with warm, inviting tones.

The pair of curved jambs with hips is slender and rests on thick foot blocks. The straight monolithic lintel resembles a shelf and is adorned with delicate thin moldings as well as a more prominent molding along its sides. The trumeau is understated. It is elegantly topped by a finely molded cornice.

A simple yet refined antique fireplace, it will adapt perfectly to any type of interior decoration. It can be used as either an open hearth or fitted with a closed insert.
