Wonderful Louis XIV style antique fireplace
Wonderful Louis XIV style antique fireplace made of Sorcy stone. This beautiful fireplace was salvaged in a ruined manor house situated in the East part of France.
The big size of the hearth opening leads us to think that the fireplace was probably used in a big kitchen. The lintel features beautiful sculpted rosettes.
Initials were also chiseled on the fireplace.Those letters are probably the initials of the stonemason.
