A beautiful Louis XVI Style mantle made of a beautiful gray marble richly veined with white and red by a stonecutter craftsman in the 19th century.

This antique mantle presents the main features associated with the Louis XVI geometric style: a fine molded shelf, a rectangular lintel decorated with an engraved elongated frame in relief and triglyphs on the jambs, a pair of straight jambs with beautiful finger flutes. The jambs rest on marble bases and the hearth offers a streamlined throat.
