Imposing Louis XIV style antique stone fireplace

This rustic, well-proportioned and imposing antique stone fireplace will warm up your home and will add a strong presence.

This fireplace dates back to the late 17th Century. It was unassembled in an old farmhouse situated in the French department of Vosges chiefly in the city of Domremy-la-Pucelle (birthplace of Joan of Arc).

It is very representative of the Louis XIV style: heavy thick jambs topped by wide corbels, monolithic lintel with a monolithic molded lower edge. The cornice was also carved out of a single block of stone.
