This piece is composed of thin shapely canted jambs. This pair of console-shaped jambs sits on thick rectangular foot blocks. The monolithic lintel with its tablet features a beautiful movement. Some thin moldings decorate the tablet and the outer edges of the lintel. The bolection molding that runs elegantly along the lower edge of the lintel surrounds also the whole hearth line.
