Antique white and red marble mantel

This antique 19th century mantel is made of marble veined with white and red.

This mantel is very original. Indeed, it has, on its upper part, a double door opening on warming oven, and on its lower part, a wrought iron sliding plate to open or close the hearth opening. This mantel was once used both as a cooking fireplace and as a fireplace.
