This fireplace features an overmantel (also called a “hood”) adorned with two sculpted relief columns. The rectangular molded frame at the center of the overmantel could be used to display a painting or mirror. This trumeau is topped by an elegant and finely molded drip-cornice.
The straight and slightly angled jambs support a monolithic bar lintel decorated with raised diamond motifs and rosettes.
