Antique stone fireplace with trumeau.

This rustic fireplace features different architectural styles: Its very wide hearth opening is of the Louis XIII style. The geometric design of this fireplace is very characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

This slender fireplace has shapely console-shaped jambs. The monolithic lintel is decorated with sculpted details and ornaments. The trumeau is smaller than the lower part of the fireplace. It features a molded pediment animated with sculpted geometric motifs such as lozenges, flowers, stars, frames and molded columns in relief. The cornice tops the whole piece. It features very finely sculpted dentils and moldings. This fireplace is a real artwork!
