Large Louis XIV style antique countryside stone fireplace

Wonderful 17th Century antique fireplace made of “pierre de Chaillon” stone carved out of quarries situated near the city of Commercy (very representative of all the countryside fireplaces of the French department of Meuse).

It has thin console shaped jambs topped by a monolithic lintel with a flat molding running along its lower edge. The whole piece is topped by a beautiful cornice shelf. 

Its elegance and its beautiful details make this fireplace very attractive. It will definitely brighten up your home with its harmonious curves despite its imposing size (more than 2m Long)
