Louis XVI style antique grey marble mantle
This large Louis XVI style antique grey marble mantle with a pure design was made in the 19th century.
The Louis XVI style is recognizable by its geometric forms and its Antiquity inspired motifs. The straight fluted jambs as well as the sculpted triplyphs appearing at the top of the jambs are particularly noteworthy. The lintel is decorated with an engraved cartouche. It is highlighted by a beautiful moulded tablet.
