Large 19th Century French Regency-style Volvic stone mantel

This large antique Volvic stone fireplace dates back to the 19th century and is inspired by French Regency-style mantelpieces.

The Volvic stone is a volcanic stone extracted in central France showing from light gray to darker shades.

This mantel features two straight jambs carved with fluting that support an undulating lintel that acts as a shelf. This low-arched lintel is enhanced by an opulent molding and is adorned with beautiful sculptures including a central geometric motif within a cartouche.

An elegant antique fireplace with clean straight lines.
